the only references to unesco and anthro that i know are concerned with tourism, heritage and conservation. that is the way i know the topic had been ethnographically approached...
i was just thinking over a linkage or workings of the linkage between institutional translation of the idea of cultural diversity and the operation of transnational capital (or specificaly, unesco as one of institutional actors in the deployment of multiculturalism, but that in zizek's term, as a cultural logic of trransntnl capitalism)
and here, in korea, i constantly think of the word "culture's domestication"/domesitcation through "culture" . and personally culture has become a word i hate to hear most. (psychological effect of fieldwork!!)
