Asmara

There seems to be a place where the dislocated subjects that make up this blog can refract their imaginations and fantasies of lands and histories with nostalgia and radical politics. In the mud but also the Fascist stradas, the imaginary of the flag to be honored by the passerby, the old cafes and theaters, women's white cloths, the Swedish style houses of the diaspora and newly built Korean housing complexes. After seeing a documentary on Eritrea, I have my doubts about Mogne's Morrocannes...maybe he's Eritrean, and that, well, that would explain many articulations.

I like that, e-r-i-t-r-e-a-n... a new configuration, a new but yet unstable identity amidst an inmanent sea. From now on, just eritrean...
