I agree with sambito, gilroy problematizes like no one else that I know on the politics of multiculturalism. Homi Bla-BLa could also be a good resource/ But you are right yoni-lu, we haved to understand the "good intentions" in their own specificity and (different) genealogy(ies). I think your project could be strengthen by including the 'multiculturalism' stuff, as different ways to engage with difference, both through the police raids (what is the term?) and the 'good intentions'...
